2 bottles each of:
Name: Bruce Jack 2019 Sauvignon Blanc
Region: WESTERN CAPE
Country: SOUTH AFRICA
It was a no-brainer to include this fan-favourite Sauvignon Blanc. Jack’s rendition is made from a carefully selected blend of grapes from various vineyards. The result is a crunchy and fresh wine with juicy white stone fruit, lemongrass, gooseberry and apple notes.
Name: Cazal Viel 2018 Viognier
While we tend towards lighter-bodied thirst-quenching whites in the summer, the cool weather calls for something with a little more texture and weight. Miquel’s Viognier fits the bill because while it is distinctive, it’s also versatile. This wine is quintessentially perfumed with white flowers and peach notes, balanced by gentle vanilla notes from partial barrel fermentation.
Name: Telmo Rodriguez 2019 Godello
This white is made by one of the most important winemakers in Spain. It’s made in Galicia in the country’s northwest corner from the native Godello grape. This Atlantic-influenced wine is mineral and fresh, but with a distinct creaminess on the palate from aging on lees. A distinctive, vibrant wine with notes of pear, melon, white flowers, sea salt.
Name: Humberto Canale 2018 Pinot Noir Estate
Canale, a significant player in the Patagonia region has seen over 100 vintages. Their Pinot is an approachable red, light in body with strawberry and cherry notes and some spice on the palate. Vanilla notes and soft tannins give this delicate (for New World standards) wine a satisfying roundness.
Name: Shingleback 2017 Haycutters Shiraz
Region: MCLAUREN VALE
As intended by the Davey brothers, this award-winning bottle is expressive of the McLaren Vale. It has great fruit intensity with aromas of blackberry and raspberry and a savoury, spicy complexity. It is a reliably tasty and generous wine in flavour and in value.
Name: Marietta Old Vine Red Lot 70
Country: UNITED STATES
This is one of the best-selling wines in our portfolio. It’s a non-vintage Zinfandel-based blend that is juicy and exuberant without being over-extracted. Since the seventies, the Bilbro family has been making easy-to-drink blends that seriously overdeliver from some of the oldest plantings in California. This well-balanced wine is medium bodied with supple dark fruit, and a fresh dose of acidity.
