Each case contains 2 bottles of each wine listed below:

Name: Paolo Scavino 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo
Region:
PIEDMONT

Country: ITALY

This Nebbiolo is made by a historic producer, which is run today by Enrico Scavino and his two daughters. The grapes come from two single vineyards in the Barolo region and produce an ethereal and aromatic expression of the area’s terroir. This fruit could have been used as Barolo but the family declassified the wine in order to offer it at a lower price point. Between ruby and garnet in colour, it is delicate and focused with wild berry notes and soft tannins.

The Paolo Scavino 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo is a bright and sharp expression with high-toned aromas of sour cherry, raspberry, forest fruit and white pepper. The wine shows exceptional purity and simplicity, which makes it perfect for those irresistible moments when you want a glass or two while you are preparing dinner in the kitchen. This Langhe Nebbiolo offers terrific value. 92 Robert Parker

Name: Il Poggione 2018 Rosso di Montalcino
Region: TUSCANY
Country: ITALY

Il Poggione is one of the three founding producers of Brunello. Today it is a benchmark winery led by a father-son duo. This wine is a Rosso, which is a younger version of widely-known Brunello. It is well-structured but also very accessible; this wine is fresh in style, despite being aged both in a large cask and in bottle. It’s bright red and has a nose of cherry with some spice. On the palate it is juicy and vibrant with velvety tannins.

Bright red. Flint, ripe red cherry and sweet spices on the very ripe and forward but ultimately fresh nose. The sweet spice notes and a refined, austere mouthfeel are typical of the S.Angelo in Colle terroir. Closes juicy and fresh, with lively flavors of red cherry and more sweet spices, plus hints of underbrush. Ages one year in both used 30-50hL oak barrels and used barriques, then spends six months in bottle before being released for sale. Made from 15-year old vineyards. 91 Vinuous

Name: Còlpetrone 2014 Montefalco Rosso
Region: UMBRIA
Country: ITALY

This is one of the most significant wineries in the Montefalco region, which is located right in the center of Umbria, a two hour drive from Rome. The Montefalco estate currently produces wines made from the Sagrantino grape - the most tannic grape in existence. Their exacting nature is evident within all of their wines. This Rosso expresses Umbrian terroir and tradition; made with Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot, it has aromas of raspberries and vanilla and on the palate it is incredibly supple.

The 2014 Colpetrone Rosso di Montefalco is wonderfully fresh yet also quite spicy, leading off with dusty flowers and hints of peppery herbs, as notes of bright cherry, hints of leather and cedar develop in the glass. On the palate, soft textures flood the senses with creamy, ripe berries, subtle spice and inner florals. The finish is medium in length and fresh, leaning toward the savory spectrum, resonating on pretty red fruits and a hint of fine tannin. Drinking window: 2020 – 2028. 90 Vinous
